Weinzierl re-elected to the KNX Executive Board

The KNX Executive Board (KEB), the highest body of the KNX Association, is re-elected every five years. This re-election took place on March 16, 2026, in Frankfurt.

We are delighted that our CEO Dr. Thomas Weinzierl has been re-elected to the KNX Executive Board. We at Weinzierl would like to express our gratitude for the trust placed in us and look forward to actively shaping the future of KNX over the next five years.

For this election, the board was expanded from 14 to 17 members. This means that around half of the seats on the new board are now occupied by new representatives of manufacturers. President Jean-Christophe Krieger (Schneider Electric) and Vice President Klaus Wächter (Siemens) were also confirmed in office from the newly elected board.

For us, this re-election is a strong sign of appreciation for our work. For many years, we have been actively committed to the further development of the KNX standard – technically, strategically, and with a view to practical application. We are active in numerous working groups – whether internationalization, customer journey group, or energy management with KNX – we are there!

KNX is constantly evolving. Topics such as easy integration, reliable and secure communication, and the transition to IP-based building technology remain crucial. This is exactly where we want to continue to make our contribution in the future.
