Weinzierl after the Intersolar Europe 2026
Intersolar Europe is the world’s leading trade fair for the solar industry. It takes place every year in Munich and is part of The smarter E Europe exhibition platform. Manufacturers, installers, energy providers, software companies, and planners meet there to present solutions related to photovoltaics, battery storage, electric mobility, and smart energy management.
Today, modern solar systems are an important part of smart homes and smart buildings.
PV systems, battery storage, heat pumps, wallboxes, and electrical appliances must work together intelligently.
This is exactly what KNX stands for as a globally established standard for building automation.
KNX can be used to:
- Maximize self-consumption of solar power
- Charge the wallbox only when there is excess PV power
- Control the heat pump or air conditioner based on available solar power
- Coordinate battery storage and load management
- Visualize and automate energy flows
- Etc.
Buildings are increasingly becoming active part of the energy system, and it is therefore essential that KNX manufacturers, such as Weinzierl, demonstrate how KNX, as an open interface, connects various energy systems with each other. As early as 2023, the company exhibited at Intersolar, and in 2024, it showcased its products at the parallel trade fair EM-Power Europe alongside several other KNX manufacturers, as that event focuses on energy management and integrated energy solutions. Also this year we were able to demonstrate energy management solutions using Modbus and other technologies in collaboration with KNX Association. Here are some key examples:
